Atari VCS (2020) Documentation
The Atari VCS (2020) documentation below is Atari's pair of upgrade guides for the Atari VCS console, published through its support site in 2024.
RAM Installation Manual
[edit | edit source]The RAM Installation Manual is a 10-page illustrated guide, © 2024 Atari Interactive, Inc., linked from Atari's support article "SSD & RAM Upgrade". It gives the memory compatibility (DDR4-2400 SODIMMs, fitted in pairs, up to 32 GB), the tools (a T10 Torx driver or hex key) and 20 steps for opening the console, lifting the main board, changing the two modules and putting everything back.[1]

M.2 SSD Drive Installation Manual
[edit | edit source]The M.2 SSD Drive Installation Manual is a 7-page illustrated guide from the same source. It explains the difference between SATA M.2 drives, which the VCS accepts, and NVMe drives, which it does not, and gives 13 steps for opening the console and fitting the drive.[1]
