The Macintosh Performa 430 is a consumer-oriented personal computer introduced by Apple Computer on October 18, 1993.[1] It is a rebrand of the LC II and is identical to the Performa 405, but shipped with a larger 120 MB hard drive.
The Performa 430 uses a Motorola 68030 processor running at 16 MHz with a 16-bit data path. It shipped with 4 MB of RAM (expandable to 10 MB using 30-pin SIMMs), 256 KB of VRAM (upgradeable to 512 KB), and a 120 MB SCSI hard drive.

Relationship to LC II
[edit | edit source]The Performa 430 is identical to the LC II internally. It differs from the Performa 405 only in having a 120 MB hard drive instead of 80 MB.
