Service information
[edit | edit source]The logic board carries a 2.5 A fuse. The "No lights or movement" chart replaces the AC adapter and then the fuse; the "No status lights" chart goes on to the logic board and the operations panel. The fuse is reached by prying up two tabs on the bottom of the printer and lifting the logic board cover (Take Apart, Fuse).
Revision A and Revision B logic boards and printer frames must be replaced like for like. The Revision Identification procedure (Additional Procedures) tells them apart in two ways. With the carriage worm screw turned so the V-groove of the large grey gear faces up and the carriage hook assembly slid left, the gear next to the spring at the right-hand end of the worm screw is black on Revision A and grey on Revision B. The Revision A logic board is marked QG2-5053 and the Revision B board QG2-2403.
The exploded view gives part numbers for the modules, among them the logic board (661-0629), printer frame assembly (661-0630), fuse (941-5224), operation panel assembly (982-0062) and paper sensor (890-0286).
What this manual does not contain
[edit | edit source]There is no schematic, component-level parts list or internal voltage table, and nothing on the AC adapter beyond replacing it.
