Atari PC7

From RetroTechCollection

The name Atari PC7 does not correspond to any documented Atari computer. The references that cover Atari's PC-compatible range in detail record five numbered desktop models, the PC1, PC2, PC3, PC4 and PC5, after which Atari's PC compatibles were sold as the ABC (Atari Business Computer) series.

  • atari-computermuseum.de's series index lists the PC1, PC2, PC3, PC4 (Mitac), PC4 (Atari) and PC5, then the ABC series. It records that the PC series was replaced by the ABC range in 1989, and that the last PC model announced, the PC4X, was released as the ABC 16 286/60.[1]
  • ataripc.net covers the PC1 to PC5 and no other model number.[2]
  • binaryvalue.com states that "Atari ultimately released five desktop PC models: the PC1, PC2, PC3, PC4, and PC5".[3]
  • The Atari Museum's list of Atari PC-compatible systems gives the ABC 386SX/DX, the N386SX laptop, the Portfolio, the PC-1 and the PC-5.[4]

Atari's 386SX desktop was the ABC 386SX, part of the ABC range.[4]
