822 Thermal Printer technical specification

[edit | edit source]

The 822 technical specification is a 14-page Atari document, drawing number TS015897-01 Rev. 1, that describes the printer's circuit board block by block, each block with a partial schematic, and then the board test run on Atari's 822 test fixture. It is undated.[2]

What this document does not contain

[edit | edit source]
  • A parts list or a complete schematic. The circuit appears as separate figures, one per block.
  • Component values for anything not drawn in those figures.
  • Disassembly, adjustment or mechanical service procedures.
  • The test fixture itself or its program.

The text on page 2 says the +15 V supply feeds the reset circuit and Z200; the figures on pages 3 and 4 show both on +5 V.
