Atari SX212 Modem Owner's Manual
[edit | edit source]The Atari SX212 Modem Owner's Manual is Atari Corporation's 1987 user manual for the modem, part number C070878-001 Rev. A, with C033506-0A1 also printed on the back cover. The hosted copy is the Internet Archive's 53-page scan; the printed page numbers run to 51.[1] It covers connection to Atari 8-bit computers, the Atari ST, IBM PC and compatibles and other RS-232 computers.

What this manual does not contain
[edit | edit source]- A schematic, parts list or any description of the circuit. The troubleshooting chapter covers connections, cables, the TR signal and software only, and tells owners to take the modem to an Atari service centre for anything else.
- Documentation of the SIO handler. Antic's reviewer noted this in 1988.[2]
- Several S registers, which the manual lists as reserved.
