  • Macintosh Human Interface Guidelines 1992 – Apple Computer, Addison-Wesley, 1992, 398 pp: the desktop metaphor, direct manipulation, feedback and forgiveness, then the detailed specification of menus, windows, dialogues, controls, colour and language.
