What it settles

[edit | edit source]
  • The 5300 was designed around a 16.8 V lithium-ion PowerBook Intelligent Battery with its own processor (chapter 1, p. 19). Production machines shipped with NiMH batteries after Apple's September 1995 recall; see PowerBook 5300.
  • The built-in RAM is 8, 16 or 32 MB of self-refreshing DRAM, with up to 56 MB on a card for 64 MB in all (p. 18).
  • The internal disk is a 2.5-inch IDE drive of 500 MB to 1.1 GB, and the expansion bay takes a floppy drive, another IDE device or a power device such as an AC adapter (p. 18).
