Macintosh Performa 6260CD
The Macintosh Performa 6260CD is a PowerPC-based desktop computer introduced by Apple Computer in January 1996.[1] It is an upgraded variant of the Performa 6200CD with a faster PowerPC 603e processor at 100 MHz, sold exclusively in Europe and Asia.
Differences from Performa 6200CD

- CPU: PowerPC 603e @ 100 MHz (vs PowerPC 603 @ 75 MHz)
- Hard Drive: 800 MB (vs 1.0 GB)
- Modem: Not included
- Bundled Monitor: 14" (vs 15")
- Market: Europe and Asia only
Architecture and Processor
[edit | edit source]The Performa 6260CD uses a PowerPC 603e processor running at 100 MHz with a 40 MHz system bus (vs 37.5 MHz on the base 6200CD). The 603e offers improved performance over the original 603.
