The Power Macintosh 5400 is an all-in-one personal computer introduced by Apple Computer on April 13, 1996.[1] Based on the "Alchemy" architecture, it features a PowerPC 603e processor and a built-in 15" shadow mask color CRT display. In North America, the Power Macintosh 5400 was sold exclusively to the educational market, while the consumer version was branded as the Performa 5400CD.
The 5400 was a significant upgrade over the Power Macintosh 5260, featuring 168-pin DIMM RAM slots, built-in 10Base-T Ethernet, and a PCI expansion slot.
