Verify against Apple's Power Macintosh/Performa 5200 and 5300 Service Source (hosted): corrected the memory figure to Apple's, corrected the case dimensions (width 16 in, depth 15.1 in - they were transposed), and stated the sound properly (16-bit mono in, 16-bit stereo out, 8-bit stereo speakers) in place of '8-bit stereo'; added Apple's full electrical and environmental figures, the display figures including that 832x624 does not support video input, the replace-below-3.0 V battery threshol...

Apple's Repair Extension Program procedures for system freezes and colour-hue changes cover the 52xx and 53xx machines other than the 5260 and 5280, and the faults, part numbers and adjustments are described on [[Macintosh Performa 5300CD]].<ref name="ss52rea">Apple Computer, ''Power Macintosh/Performa 5200 and 5300'' Service Source, 1997, REA Procedures chapter, p. 1. == Display and Graphics ==

The Performa 5320CD features a built-in 15" Shadow Mask CRT display supporting:
* 640×480 at 16-bit color
* 800×600 at 8-bit color
* 832×624 at 8-bit color

Video memory consists of 1 MB dedicated from system RAM.

== TV/Video System ==

Unlike the base [[Macintosh Performa 5300CD|Performa 5300CD]], the 5320CD includes pre-installed TV tuner and video input/output expansion cards, enabling:

* '''TV Reception:''' Integrated TV tuner card
* '''Video Input:''' S-video and composite input
* '''Video Output:''' S-video and composite output

These features occupied the TV and Video I/O expansion slots that were empty on the base model.

'''Apple's own weight figure for this chassis is internally contradictory and should not be quoted.''' It prints "Without CD-ROM: 17 lb. With CD-ROM: 19 lb. (21.15 kg)" — 19 lb is 8.6 kg, not 21.15 kg, and 17/19 lb is what the '''LC 630''' volume gives for a much smaller machine. The 21 kg / ~47 lb figure is the plausible one for a 15-inch all-in-one, and that is what this page carries, but it is flagged rather than presented as Apple's.

'''Apple's built-in display figures''' for the 5200 and 5300: '''15-inch shadow mask, 12.8-inch viewable'''; dot pitch '''0.28 mm'''; vertical frequency '''66.7 Hz'''; active raster '''9.5 × 7.3 in (240 × 185 mm)'''; white point '''9,300 K'''; shipping brightness '''25 foot-lamberts'''; horizontal in-line gun configuration; aluminised '''P22 derivative''' phosphor. Video modes: 640 × 480 at 16-bit, 800 × 600 at 8-bit, and 832 × 624 at 8-bit — and '''832 × 624 does not support video input''', which is worth knowing before blaming a TV-tuner or video-in card that works at a lower resolution.

== Apple's high-voltage adjustment — a real procedure, and only for this family ==

Unlike most Macintoshes, the 5200 and 5300 '''do''' have a published voltage adjustment, and Apple marks every page of it '''"not for 5260, 5280"''':<ref name="ss5200" />

Apple's notes: the control is '''inside''' the analogue board, the Rev. B board has to be tilted back to reach VR702, and the adjustment must be redone '''whenever the CRT or the deflection board is replaced'''.

The Macintosh Performa 5320CD is an all-in-one Macintosh that Apple sold outside the United States from November 14, 1995.[1] Apple's Service Source describes it as the successor to the Performa 5300CD, with a 120 MHz PowerPC 603e and 16 MB of RAM, and "all other hardware features ... the same as the Performa 5300CD".[4]

EveryMac describes the 5320CD as shipping with a TV/video system and gives Japanese order number M4450J/A; order numbers elsewhere differed.[2] Apple's own configuration note for the model mentions only the faster processor and the extra memory, so a TV tuner or video-in card in a surviving machine may or may not be original.[4]

Service notes

The 5320CD is serviced as a Performa 5300CD. Apple's Repair Extension Program procedures for system freezes and colour-hue changes cover the 52xx and 53xx machines other than the 5260 and 5280, and the faults, part numbers and adjustments are described on Macintosh Performa 5300CD.[6] The CRT holds a charge after the machine is unplugged; read CRT Discharge Procedure before opening it.
