What it settles

  • The AWS 95 has built-in SCSI termination; drives added to it must have their resistor packs removed (printed pp. 24, 29).
  • Fill the drive slots in letter order and use slot E last, for heat reasons (p. 30).
  • Five 2 GB drives lower the maximum ambient operating temperature to 35 °C; four or fewer drives allow 40 °C (p. 23).
  • SCSI IDs 1, 4, 5 and 6 are always available for hard disks on the PDS card's internal bus (p. 31).
